BACK FROM DRILL CAMP.
Man, this is so weird. Yesterday was just Friday but I feel like I've been away for days.
I am aching all over; shoulders, back, arms, feet.
And I'm sunburnt. Definitely sunburnt.
I used to like being tanned in Primary School (since I played basketball and everything), but now I can't wait to just fade back into my natural disgusting pale self.
As white as my thighs, please!

I hope you missed me :D
Okay lah, one day only.
Thank you to Joan and Jaclyn for the smses, it's nice to switch one your phone at the end of the day and to hear from your friends.

But yes, camp was tiring.
Came back after dinner for night drills, which is probably the coolest part of drills.
Remember in Sec Two how much we loved it?
This year it was way hotter.
Not much wind, like how it is everyday.
But guess what, some people saw a shooting star!
Everyone was so excited and it was so cute.
I wish I saw it.
Nehhhhhh, Dorcas saw it, lucky girl!

I think it's safe to say that our drills have improved.
Sometimes I just feel so thankful to hear nice bangs, and Bokteng's, Verlyn's and my armswings were so coordinated yesterday night.
Maybe it was the mood. o.O

Slept at a reasonable enough hour, and shower time was quite long since we have only 20 plus people.
Felt quite clean when I went to sleep.
So cold though, at night.
The air-con was spoilt so we couldn't make the temperature higher.
Woke up quite a few times during the night though, and I had a strange dream about all of us working in a market, and a certain someone being pregnant.
You'll never guess who it is, ask me on Monday.
Hahaha :D

Today was exhausting.
I don't know how many hours of drills we had, but it was under the sickeningly hot sun.
We were dismissed early, around 6.20 instead of 7, and I tell you, I was just walking around with this zombified look on my face.
Went to J8 for dinner, ate at Ajisen.
I think I was being quite grumpy cause I was tired, dirty, smelly, sweaty, and I just wanted to get home.

Two more weeks.
Haven't finished learning fancy yet.

The day Marley and Me opens in cinemas in Singapore, and also the day of the disastrous Physics SPA.

Dang I was really looking forward to presenting for CME today, cause people seemed sleepy and distracted (not like they usually listen anyway), but she talked too much again and so we're probably presenting tomorrow.
Plus today had disgusting weather, made my skin all clammy and sticky.
But it really felt like the right time to do CME.
Rah I still feel annoyed about not getting it over and done with.

Must remember to bring back Chemistry.
Oh, foolscap.
So much stuff to bring tomorrow.
Should have brought the uniform to school today.

Miss Norainee does not know my name.
I am sure of it now.

I liked the bus ride home today.
We were dismissed relatively early, around 5.10, so the roads weren't that clogged up.
Caught a double decker 174 (which came before a 153!), and only a few schoolkids got up at the Nanyang/Hwachong/NJC stop.
Any bus without noisy talking people is a bus I like.
Almost missed my stop to alight cause I was daydreaming and wondering when my library books were due.
Managed to get out in time though, people were already alighting when I realised the bus had stopped.

Ow, backache.

Two days I brought the laptop along, two days I couldn't connect it to the internet ):
Used Jaclyn's old Mac today, with the conked out spacebar key, and now I'm hitting my spacebar key (which works fine) unsually hard.
Heh, okay lah Jaclyn, your Mac is still cool.
Just not friendly enough for suakus like me to use.

I didn't shower yesterday, cause while I was waiting for my mom to come out of the toilet, I was so tired I fell asleep.
(Guess whose bed I slept on? Not mine :D)
Just so people won't think I'm some dirty little girl, I don't usually do this okay.
Actually I'm very anal about being clean and stuff.
But yesterday was a special case.
Anyway, imagine my surprise when I conversationally mention this to Ariela, and she exclaims,"Me too!!!"
o.O
And as if that wasn't enough, I tell Joan and she gives me the same response.
Hahahaha! I dunno, it was so weirdly coincidental and creepy in a way.
Three dirty people in our clique :D

Okay lah, Edulearn isn't that bad actually.
I just don't think it's a very good long term solution.
What if there's an epidemic and we're kept out of school for months?
Are we just gonna go online and do our stuff everyday?
Noooooo. I don't even understand the Physics stuff they put up today.
Imagine trying to understand Amaths online.. by yourself.

Have to go and eat the naan again someday.

Slacked a lot today.
Watched two more episodes of Chuck since Ariela and I couldn't connect to the internet, and there wasn't much to do.

Watched the Carpet Show just now, they interviewed Miley Cyrus o.O
She said something about being excited about seeing Brad and Angelina, cause she's such a huge fan.
And something about how she has a movie coming out on April 10 and how great she thinks it is.
You know, her name's really weird.
Miley cause she's smiley?
What if she frowned a lot?
Would they call her Rowny Cyrus instead?
Or what if she was ugly? (Or uglier than she can get now anyway)
Would she be called Gly Cyrus?
It has a certain ring to it o.O

I can't believe I handed up such shoddy work for the Geog graded assignment.

I am utterly fascinated with The Bell Jar and Sylvia Plath.
Started reading the book last week, stopped for six days, and finished it today.
And I'm gonna read it again.

Demoralised isn't strong enough to describe how I feel.
Tried making the chocolates again, this time with milk chocolate, and the colour looked better, but after I left it in the fridge for 7 hours, it still wasn't hard enough for me to roll into balls.

And I had really wanted to bring them to school tomorrow to make up for the horrible ones last week.
Sorry Jaclyn, I thought I could cheer you up with them.
Well, at least now you know you can go on Tuesday :D

The Ikea at Tampines is HUGE.
Way bigger than the one at Alexandra Road.
But I prefer the one at Alexandra though, cause it's the one I've known since I was young.
And it feels more homey somehow.
Anyway, we wanted to take dinner there before sending my brother off.
But it was so crowded, we left and went somewhere else instead.
I hate standing beside a table of people who are eating, waiting for them to finish so that you can hurry and take their table.
It just feels wrong.
I know I hate it when people do that.
I don't feel comfortable with people watching me while I eat.
I mean, it's okay when you're with friends and everyone is talking, but to have people stand beside you, silently wishing you'd hurry so they can sit down, just spoils your mood.

I think we all need a break now and then.

I wish I had been dragged screaming and protesting to join.
Cause I don't really have anyone to blame but myself.
I did it for the two of them, that's all.

I didn't do much work today, even though I didn't spend the whole day using the laptop.
Finished up the Chinese question that we started on, and that's it.
At least we have till Thursday.
But, at least I learnt to sew/hem my clothes this afternoon.
Think I altered my skirt too short, oops.

Ikea tomorrow?

I hope she gets to fight soon.

Chemistry test was a killer.
I looked at the first page and I was like, oh crap.
Seriously. And they didn't allow us to have the periodic table!?
Must study moreeeeeeeee.

I am determined to make good use of this weekend.
Finish the tons of Chinese homework, English homework, read my library books (YAY I found The Bell Jar!), revise Emaths, and make chocolates if there's time.
But dang, I forgot to bring home Geog.

I am super scared for Physics SPA next week.
I wish he'd let us do one more experiment on Monday at least.
Everyone today was like, take English, take English!
Heh. But really, this is important.
): And to think, we're only doing Skill 1 and Skill 2 and we're already freaking out.
We will die for Skill 3.
How do you plan the experiment on your own when you can't even follow the instructions sometimes?

Didn't get to present for CME yet, cause she talked a lot in between presentations.
We should have chosen another topic.
If only we weren't so lazy that day :/

GB, blah blah blah, bused home with Jaclyn.
Heh we got up to flag down a 961, but I think the bus driver didn't see us cause there was another bus in front of it.
So when it drove off, both of us were like, what the beep?
Then Jaclyn saw the double decker 174 coming, so everything was fine :D
Went upstairs to sit, and had another bitching session, sort of.
Journey wasn't as long as the last one, thank goodness.

Have to enjoy today, cause it'll be another three weeks before I can go home after Friday.

Today Jaclyn said, " Only less than nine months until the end of our O levels."

Bridge games today were awesome, many close wins and losses :D

Whee I like old songs.
Joan just showed me the video for Tarzan and Jane.
I remember I used to like Toy-Box when I was a kid.
And old old songs.
Some of them don't really have meanings but I still like them better than the songs we have now :/

It was an excruciatingly long lesson at the end of the day.
And no, I'm not referring to the Common Test, that was fine.
Bah, and the test is tomorrow, how can I expect to pass?

Softball is a dangerous sport.
Lots of swinging the bat, not hitting the ball (for some, okay, one person), and hitting other people instead
Oops :D
But it is so weird to take a theory test
WAIT I NEED TO GET MY CORRECTION TAPE REFILL!
Yeah as I was saying, it's weird to have to take a theory test for PE.

Well other than that one hour, today was fine.
Eh Jaclyn, Marley and Me only opens on the 26th! D:
How? Let's go watch Slumdog Millionaire instead heh.

I'll be missing two episodes of Survivor, because there's Drill Camp next Friday, and Welcome cum Farewell Camp next next Friday

After March, when we're more free, I want to play badminton with Wangyee after school :D

Heh Chemistry practical today was so fun.
Audrey and I were laughing like mad at one point.
I have no idea what she was doing, but she was holding the burette above the sink with the filter funnel on top.
Then she poured water through, but somehow the water didn't flow properly, and it spilt over.
Next she tried to fit the water tube thing that's connected to the taps to the burette/pipette and the tube came off.
There was a lot of splashing going on.
And throughout it all, she didn't take off her safety goggles, which makes it all the funnier.

It's Physics SPA next week. So fast.

My toes hurt.

The Amazing Race was hilarious.
I laughed so hard at the last task, where they had to carry cheese.
I feel mean, but it was seriously funny.
Especially the way the cheese rolled away & how some people slid down the hill.

F is for friends who do things together!
Man, Mrs Rao would not like Spongebob and his things.

I could say that today sucked, but I won't.
Cause it didn't, not entirely.
Maybe only the weather and the common test time and the whole girl business thing.

But friends make things better, corny as that sounds.

Why is it so hot these days?
Where has the wind gone to?
Although it feels fine now.
Or maybe it's just because I have the fan blowing at me.
But everyone felt so sticky and hot and bothered today.

On the upside, Valentine's Day presents and lots of bridge time.
And okayish Amaths results and useful study time at Macs :D
Pizza for dinner later, when my parents and brother are back.

The chocolates, as expected, are a disaster.
They're not fit to be called chocolate truffles, they're just lumps which look like crap, and I mean that literally.

Usually I don't mind dark chocolate, but now I don't think I ever want to look at dark chocolate again.

Went to Hougang after church today, cause my mom went to visit her friend whose father passed away yesterday.
Yeah, on Valentine's Day.
I felt so out of place there.
Then it hit me, this is how Joan and Ariela feel like when they come to Bukit Timah!
Hahahah.
o.O I wonder if Ariela will know the place I was at?
Hougang is near Serangoon right?

I feel proud of myself today.
Unlike last week, when I had the whole day taken away, today I actually managed to not laze around the whole day.
I did some constructive stuff things.

Finished Amaths, Geog, and Chinese homework.
Ignored SS, cause I just couuldn't bring myself to do it ):

I haven't borrowed a book in ages.
Shall go to the library after church tomorrow :D

And.. the chocolate truffles.
Didn't go out today, didn't buy the ingredients, so tomorrow then.
I hope they turn out fine, but I have some reservations :/

Happy Friday the 13th! :D

Woke up early to take a bus to school cause my dad was working the night shift.
Double decker 174 (:
Still, it was crowded even though it was like only 6 in the morning.
Usually when I take buses alone, I don't go to the upper deck, but today I thought, what the heck, I'll go up and find some nice corner to squeeze myself into.
So I went up, all the way to the back (:
And the people on the bus were relatively okay, so it was crowded but not noisy and annoying.
:D

Second one to reach class, Audrey was there already.
Why isn't she the key holder?
Did some Chinese homework that isn't due next week, cause I was feeling bored.
Tee hee.

I kind of hate Valentine's Day, actually.
I don't need some lame date to remind me of the people I love.
But I'm not brave enough to not conform, so I can't talk that much :/

I felt too sick of the thought of having to take a bus home after GB, so I called my dad to pick me up even though I kind of knew he would be sleeping after coming home from work.
): But I'm not a bad girl.

I wanted to start a post in the wordpress one, but I'm not sure where it is.

They're not online so I can't ask them.
Okay, I sound like some dumbass suaku.

So anyway, Total Defence celebration today was actually enjoyable.
I hope I'm not turning into one of those gooey, I Heart Everything! people, but I think I'm really starting to love our class.
I guess every class has at least one girl who's an outcast, or whom everyone shuns, but I don't think there's anyone in our class whom I really hate/dislike.
o.O
Yeah, I'll miss our class next year.

Lunched at Ikea, pasta and meatballs.
Then over to my house, although we had planned to go Joan's house today.
Played Taboo, then taught Jaclyn mahjong, although she didn't really play.
Must get her to come again, when I don't feel lazy to bring out the mahjong table.
Then she can play on her own :D

I forgot to bring home my Chinese foolscap, so I can't do my bao zhang bao dao.

Guess how long I waited today for 174?
A whopping 50 minutes.
The buses were so crowded, that even a double decker 174 bus driver waved me away when I flagged the bus down.

And of course, by the time I finally manage to get on a bus, it's the peak hour and there's a jam.

So much for the early dismissal.

This Friday, instead of drills, we have games.
Only thing is, Drill Comp people can't play.
We have to carry on with drills.

Happy Birthday Ma! <3
Sorry I was away at the Leadership Conference for almost the whole day.
And you had to wake up early to wake me up, even though actually I was already up :D
Okay whatever.
Btw Joan, D: I don't feel guilty about saying whatever anymore.
Ahh must train again.

LC wasn't that bad lah.
Talks were boring, but to tell the truth I don't really mind boring talks.
I'd rather endure the boring talk and have trouble keeping awake, then have to have some "interesting" talk and do lame activities.
I just want to sit in my seat and pretend to listen.
Gives me time to daydream or just not think at all.

Girls sitting behind us were _______.
Talk non-stop throughout those 8 hours.
Plus they had the same colour skirt as we did.
Hope no one thought that we were all from the same school D:
I like our batch, we rock <3

Dinner at hooked!, which is near Longhouse.
Salmon, yum :D
Brownie for my mom, with vanilla ice cream.
I like fish. Cause unlike other meat like chicken, you don't really have to worry about the skin.
But I like chicken too.

Somehow I don't feel excited about birthdays anymore, not that much.
I can't wait for March because then Drill Comp will be over, and F1 season starts.
Not because it's my birthday.
I know this year we turn sixteen and it's supposedly special, but I don't really care.
It's not a big deal.
I don't need presents too, so save your money! :D

Bokteng's shoulders are nice to lean on to sleep.
Especially when she has her jacket on.

Miss Norainee let us watch snippets of a modernised AMND, and she said that there's a real play currently being staged in Laselle or somewhere, and we could go as a class to watch it :D :D :D

I like our small Lit class.

Got back Physics test today, only four in our class passed.
It's okay. I was always lousy in Physics anyway.
I always need Joan to explain stuff to me.
She's such a nerd o.O
And Jaclyn's the Maths nerd.
This year I have two pros beside me from whom I can ask for help, yay! :D
And Huilin and Ariela for Chinese, although Bokteng Zokteng's the real master.

After the first two lessons.. Need I say more?

Assembly, then House meeting.
Poor people who have to buy new House T-shirt if they changed Houses.
Our 4/5 Fearon gang are slackers.
Mr Chua told us to go around and socialise with the Sec Ones, but since we were in the canteen, we just sat down at a table and talked.

Then we'll probably be around that area for dinner since it's my mom's birthday tomorrow.

YAY Huilin and I have influenced everyone to become addicted to Through The Monsoon :D
Okay, not everyone, just Joan and Jaclyn.
Durch den Monsun sounds so much more foreign and nicer though.
Personally I think German sounds a little vulgar, but it's still nice.
Any country which has their own language sounds nice.
And no, Singlish doesn't count.

Today was hilarious, but such a long school day.
I couldn't believe it was still only Monday when the day ended.

First part of the day, I had to crank my gears into action.

If I could have my way, I'd study Math and Science all day, and maybe Geog and Lit.
No languages for me please. And no SS.
It's sad that we didn't listen enough for Chem last year, so our basics are all in a mess right now.

I keep thinking that I'll finally get it sometime before O levels, but what if we don't?
We'll be so dead.

I was feeling bored today, and had the urge to do something with my water in my bottle.
(Haha, it rhymes! Sort of.)
So I poured a few drops into my bottle cap, then I called Ariela.
When she turned around, I splashed the water on her.
Heh. Kay, doesn't sound funny.
But it was. Freaking hilarious.
Then she got back at me by taking my bottle and splashed me when I was talking halfway.

I just finished mine, surprisingly my answers matched those at the back of the book.
I thought I wouldn't be able to do about half.

I miss her. Her teaching, her dry humour, her non-need to try and please everyone.
Sec 2, Romeo and Juliet with her was incredible.
I loved Lit.
Sec 3, maybe we were hit by the sleepy waves, but she was a great teacher.
Today we received back our Headstart homework, the piece that we were supposed to do on the fashion industry.
I felt so proud cause I got good comments from her.
Our teachers last year were awesome.
Well, mostly.

Her arms are.. distracting.
Big time.

Oh yeah, I keep glaring at the wrong people recently.
I keep thinking it's someone else who tapped me, and I'd whack the poor person.
Who is it that I keep wrongly accusing?
Is it Jaclyn or Joan?
I know Ariela caused me to make the mistake twice..
Haha next time I shall just aim for her :D
