30 July 2009, Thursday

Well, the worst of the week is over.
No more SPA to worry about :D

Michael Schumacher's coming back to fill in for Felipe Massa for now.
I don't know how I feel.
I want to see him race, but I do want Massa back too.
Plus the pressure on him must be huge, since he's arguably the greatest racer ever, and he'd be expected to win something even if he just returned.
Which is retarded, what with the ban on in-season testing now.
The only time he'd be able to get into the car and practise will be on the practice session two days before the race.
Dang this budget cap.

I seriously hope Massa recovers soon enough.
Reports say he'll probably not be able to race for the rest of the season, but who knows?
Everyday I check the news, and it seems to be better.
Fingers crossed :D
Hope he'll be able to make it for the Singapore GP.

Check out what his wife said three days ago:
"Soon he will be giving joy to all in his little red car on the speedway."
Cute right!
Hahahaha :D

On the downside, BMW's leaving next season D:

We are all aching from PE yesterday.
Thighs, butt, arms, shoulders...
Anywhere else I missed out?
We're either really unfit, or were really enthusiatic yesterday.
(The latter, hopefully.)
But it's a nice achey feel.
I always dread PE even though I know it's going to turn out fun, why is that?
And come to think of it, the only times I really disliked PE were when we had dance.
I hated that.
And maybe before 2.4.

We finished watching Cape No. 7 in Chinese yesterday, so we started a new movie today.
Not sure about it's proper name, something about walking left and walking right.
I heard people saying they like it better, but actually I prefer Cape No. 7.
o.O

Massa had an accident during qualifying yesterday D:
At first I didn't think it would be that serious, cause in F1 accidents happen most of the time, and usually the drivers come out safe, but I guess yesterday's accident was pretty serious.
Anyway, thank goodness he's alright now.
I like the look of his dad and his wife.
His dad is some cute old (fat) dude, and I just saw him comforting Massa's wife (who's pregnant) on the TV.
I hope we all marry into nice families in future, and have nice father-in-laws :D
(Oh yeah, wait... Dang.)

New driver for Toro Rosso yesterday too, some nineteen-year-old who's the youngest player to start a race.
19! That's my brother's age.
He has nice eyes, blue-greyish.
I like many of the drivers' eyes :D
It's the only portion of their face you can see anyway, when they're wearing their helmets.
Alonso and Barrichello have nice eyes too.

Some GB girl caught me as I was walking to cross the road to the bus stop after church today.
I saw her approach a guy carrying a baby, asking him to donate (he said he'd already donated), so I quickly tried to steer clear of her and walk in another direction, but she caught up with me.
She was quite sweet though, and polite.
I told her I'd already donated too.
Haha -- I lied.
Plus I already have my own card to worry about.
I caught a glimpse of her card, it was more than halfway full.
I'm the one who needs the donations, thank you.
My mom brought it to work for two weeks; she collected 16 bucks.
That's it.

Noooooo we missed the solar eclipse today cause we were doing the NSW English paper.
I thought for a second that the teachers would give us a minute off to go out and see it.
It was like the school exploded or something, one moment we were bent over shading ovals, the next we heard screaming and noise from outside (shut up!).
Even Mdm Yeo ran out of class to see it, haha.
I am very pissed. We'd have liked to see it.

My mom brought back new contact lenses today, thank goodness.
I think my eyesight has deteriorated over these past four days from wearing underpowered lenses.
It sucked to not be able to see the board or the screen clearly.

Listening was okay.
According to the teachers' answers, I got 9/10.
Obviously all of us were aiming for 10/10, but whatever.
Hopefully we did okay enough to make Miss Koh proud.
I adore her :D
She's probably the nicest teacher we have.
Anyway, END OF CHINESE Os!

I STILL have some blue stain from the copper (II) sulphate sulfate on my nail from Chem yesterday.
Funny. I don't remember spilling anything, so how did I get it?

RHD today, borrowed a half-sari from Chandini to wear, since it's our last year here.
How many people did she lend clothes to? Haha.
She should be ashamed of herself though, not knowing how to tie a sari :D
But she looked AMAZING in hers.
So pretty. Gold and pink, very nice.
She should wear them to go ACS.

Freaking flies.
Is it because of the plants?

HAHAHA I'm playing Curtain Call now! :D
I hate Fack though.

Ahhh I just can't say how much I love it.
I was very careful unwrapping it.
The CDs are so perfect, so untarnished, so unblemished, so un-fingerprinted.
Hee.

Went to watch HPATHBP (long title hahaha) after school, at Shaw.
We were smart. Instead of staying at the school bus stop, we went over to the one before instead, so we wouldn't have to cram with everyone else.
Founds seats at the back of the bus, but it was crowded anyway, and more people piled in at our school's bus stop.
Thank goodness it was a double decker bus.

The seats in the cinema were just made for us.
Haha we were so excited to see that there were three seats together in the second last row, so we didn't have to spilt up/sit right at the front.
Jaclyn and I think it's the exact same hall that we went to in Sec 2 to watch HPATOFTP.
I remember the toilet.

Movie was average, I always dislike the movies but I always watch them anyway.
I hated the castings for Narcissa, Tonks, and Lupin.
Gosh.
In the book, one of my favourite part is the scene with Snape, Narcissa, and Bellatrix, the one where Snape makes the Unbreakable Vow.
It really brings out Narcissa Malfoy's character, but I just thought the actress who portrays her doesn't look like how she's like in my head.
And throughout the movie, I kept muttering to myself, "That never happened in the book."
Yeah I know, it's not possible for them to follow the book exactly, and if I complain so much I shouldn't even watch at all, but oh well.
Hated that they focused so much on the romance part.
I'd rather they developed the main plot more, explain more about You-Know-Who's (HAHA) background etc.
If I hadn't read the book, I wouldn't know what was going on at all.

I did like the young Tom Riddle though.
Didn't like the older one, he came across as too cocky and arrogant.
I liked the Tom Riddle they used in the second movie, I thought he was amazing.
Anyway, I sort of liked Lavender too.
In the book she's just plain irritating, and in the movie she's annoying, but funny too at least.
Oh and Malfoy, how could I forget him?
Tom Felton is so tall now.
Poor Daniel Radcliffe, all his onscreen girlfriends are taller than him.

Walked to HMV after that, where Joan and I both got Curtain Call, and she got Encore as well.
(Heh I just looked down at the CD and smiled happily at it.)
Hope she can find the book tomorrow at TPY.
Kinokuniya binds the books, so we couldn't sneak a peek ):

So today turned out well :D

I'm having trouble with Amath homework again.
Why do I get zero for all my answers?
Weird.

Physics SPA tomorrow.
Feels really abrupt.
I should be reading some notes or at least looking through past practicals, but now I'm in a It's only SPA, no biggie kind of mood.
According to the class board, Os are 102 days away. (Is it?)
A long time ago, I thought that by now, I would be panicking and studying everyday.

Har har.

Nah, three months still feel a long way away.
I don't even have a study schedule yet.
I mean, we haven't even finished our syllabus yet!

Saw quite a number of flats have already hung up their National Day flags.
How long more, three more weeks?
Before I know it, it'll be National Day, and two years on.

Did anyone know that the bump on buses was actually the wheel?
I didn't.

13 July 2009, Monday

OH. MY. FREAKING. GOSH.
I did not expect that at all last night.
Jaclyn says that she read many comments from people who suspected Henry, but I didn't.

I cried at the ending, it was so sad.
(The acting helped too; I loved that the series was marvellously acted.)
I'm a sucker for I love yous, even if in this case, it was uttered by a psycho.
The ending is a little warped, and my first instinct was to think that it wasn't that good, but now after reading other people's comments online, it makes more sense.

Jaclyn, it's on Youtube, go watch! :D

Hee, good day for F1 yesterday too.
Ferrari finally got onto the podium (even if it was just third place) after three months.
About freaking time.

I'm strangely excited about Harry Potter opening this Thursday, even though I think all the movies are lame.
But I would like a HP movie marathon one day though.
Man, these promoters are good.

Only Listening left for Chinese Os :D

Oral didn't suck thaaaaaat bad, but it didn't go well either.
And honestly I don't really care anymore now that it's over.
Everyone always thinks they did badly, but who ever walks out thinking, "Hell yeah, I aced that!"?

You know how after you leave the place, you start thinking, "Dang! I should have said this!" Or, "Oh yeah, so that's what it's called in Chinese!"
I thought about it a lot on the bus, I had to force myself to stop.
I was so preoccupied I even forgot to take off my nametag :S
Only realised when I was at KAP, how embarrassing.

"And you'd think that with all I have at stake" kept popping into my head while I was waiting just outside the room to go in next.
How weird, and I didn't think of Lose Yourself at all.
Maybe I should have.
It was a long wait.

English oral tomorrow, heh it seems so trival now.
What's it for, prelims?
It doesn't seem like a big deal anymore :D

Hungry. Hooray for Western.

5 June 2009, Sunday

(So I take a Vicodin splash, it hits my stomach then--) Ahhh. It's so windy now and it feels so good.
Rain, rain, come today, go away another day!

A few days ago Jaclyn told me that new Mogu bottles with a star on the cap are out, and I found it today at NTUC.
So now I have a new bottle for school, since my current one is months old already.
The new cap still looks weird though, but oh well.

After church we went to Junction 8 for lunch.
Hee. I always think of Bishan as Joan's territory.
Got some stuff at The Body Shop, now guess what?
We became a member! :D
Long story, haha.

Walked around a little, there was some book fair on the first floor.
Saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows selling for 20 bucks and I was super excited.
My dream as a kid was to grow up and be able to buy the whole series.
I know it sounds stupid, but my parents weren't the type that allowed us to buy books, which is why we hardly have any books at home.
That's what libraries are for.
Anyway, I was very tempted to get it, but nah.
I'll probably only buy the series next time when I can get a job and get my first paycheck.

And Harper's Island isn't on tonight.
Sheesh.

Friday, July 03, 2009
7:15 PM
3 July 2009, Friday

I'm very confused.
I'm quite sure the last two episodes of Harper's Island are going to be shown together, but when I checked 8days, they only allocated an hour for it this Sunday.
Do NOT spilt it into two weeks.

I think I jinxed everything by blogging about it yesterday.
No staying back after school today, because she decided to postpone it to next Tuesday.
You got me good this time, Murphy.
So now I either have to take my Chinese and English oral on the same day, or stay back some other day next week.
But like Jaclyn said, she might do it during class, so I'm banking on that.
(And now that I've said that, guess what'll Murphy do?)

Two hours of Lit today.
That works out to 1 hour 20 minutes of talking in class, then 40 minutes rushing out the paper we didn't know we were supposed to hand in by the end of the lesson.
But really, I don't recall her telling us that it had to be handed in.
Crapped some points out and handed in my answer on one page.
One measly page.
(Okay we didn't have to do a full essay. Just had to write out the points. But still.)
I do not deserve to take Pure Lit.
I do not deserve to study Literature at all, period.

JOAN! FULL VERSION IS OUT.
Hurry back from dinner or wherever you are!
(I hate the censorship.)

2 July 2009, Thursday

IT'S OUT!!!
HAHA I gave a happy little jump when I went to the wiki page and saw it.
It's only a preview though, full version will be out tomorrow.

Usually I dislike Thursdays, but today was fine, really.
Miss Koh didn't come, so we had a free hour to play.
I needed that, after Chem.
What we're learning is interesting, but it's just hard to keep awake.

I feel strangely excited for oral tomorrow.
It feels good to know that I don't have to wait hours before it's my turn.
Second tomorrow, after Wang Yee.
And if I'm lucky she might do it during class and I won't even have to stay back at all.

Dang, I just saw a spoiler that Hilary Duff is going to be on season three of Gossip Girl.
Pleaseeeee let it just be a guest star role.
I don't think I could take it if she was added to the main cast.
I might have to start covering the screen when she appears, like how I already do with Vanessa.
