Hands down the most exciting race of the season so far!
I feel like watching it again :D
Hee. Yay, good day!

29 August 2009, Saturday

Crab again for dinner later, second time in a week.

We had a nice surprise in PE on Wednesday; instead of the ACES day workout, we got to choose what game we wanted to play.
Captain's Ball FTW! :D
I wouldn't have minded badminton, but there weren't enough rackets for the whole class.
I like the ache in the arm that comes after a day of playing badminton.
Ah well, but I had more aches after the game to be happy about.

Stayed back yesterday to study/do homework, but the library closed at 4, instead of 4.30 like we were used to. (And the aircon was spoilt too!)
Decided to go to the study area, but ended up just reading all the funny writings on the vandalised tables.
Then Joan decided to check out our class, and there were still people!
So we went to hang out there.
They were decorating it for the celebration on Monday.

It looks super mega (haha!) awesome.
Helped Huilin to finish sweeping the classroom, then we stacked the tables up.
I feel quite excited for Monday now, heh :D

Went to bed early yesterday cause I didn't want to wake up late for today.
Got up at 7.30, then went to use the laptop until about 9.
And I was all ready to go and change and leave the house, when it started to rain.
That's Murphy for you.
So I let my mom cook instant noodles which we shared for breakfast, then I called my dad (who was working the night shift and was just about to come home) to ask if he could fetch me.
I felt bad, because he probably slept less than two hours last night, but it was already 9.40 and I didn't want to be (as) late again.

Anyway, my mom decided to come along too, so after they dropped me off they probably went to Hort Park or some other park to take a walk.
Heh so cute, so old still go and pak tor.

What in sam holy hill happened!?
It's nine days to our prelims. NINE.
Goodness. But I still feel like we have plenty of time o.O
Like, no worries, after prelims there's still time to start studying proper.
Eeps.

Today we had our last Geog lesson.
I don't know why I dread Geog every week.
It's pretty ok actually.
I think I just don't like 3 period lessons.
And our last SS lesson is tomorrow.
See how weird everything is?

Just two days in the library, and we've become nerds.

We're having crab for dinner ^-^

21 August 2009, Friday

We have homework this weekend.
Emath P1, Amath P2, SS SBQ, and Geog.
Roar. And there's F1 this weekend too, which means less time for work.
If I manage to drag myself away from the laptop later, I'll do SS before I sleep.

And maybe Math tomorrow.

Oral today.
Mine was pretty quick, I was done by 3.10 maybe.
So that's what it feels like to be one of the first few :D
My group waited in the wrong room at first.
We waited at the testing room and were making a lot of noise before Miss Soroma came in and told us that we should be waiting next door instead.
Heh.

While waiting, I said something about Murphy's Law.
Audrey: Cillian Murphy! (We were talking about him a few days before because we both like him. He has the prettiest blue eyes. Zac Efron comes nowhere close.)
Me: (trying to be funny) Eddie Murphy!
Audrey: Cillian!
Me: Eddie!
Wangyee: Eddie? What Eddie? I only know eddy current.
Audrey: You can totally tell we're a Physics class.

LOL.

So, they put up a skit after assembly to try and convince more people to go for prom?
You know what would be funny?
If it causes people to drop out instead of sign up.

Neh, wanted to post yesterday but blogger wouldn't load for me.

First of all... A-FREAKING-1!
A1! With a distinction for oral!

So why do I feel like giving it away to Zengxi or Isabelle, people who deserve it more?

Okay, moving on.
No volleyball for two weeks, learning the workout for ACES Day instead.
It's so mass stretch.
(UNFAIR! They don't have mass stretch now!)
But kickboxing is quite fun lah.
I almost would like to be attacked one day so I can feel what it's really like to punch or kick someone with all your strength.
Hee.

Hello, it's been a while.

Sheeh, we have tons of Math homework this weekend, and I haven't touched any of it yet.
Did Geog on Saturday, and just studied a little for tomorrow's test.
I forgot to bring home my Amath notebook D:
And I like referring to my notebook when revising.
But no matter, just have to make do with what I have.

Headed down to meet my mom after she finished work on Friday.
Made new specs.
And you know what? I already can't remember what they look like.
Hahaha. Can't even remember what colour they are.
I think purple, maybe? Or something close to that.
(See Jaclyn, I listened to you! Heh hope you're honoured.)
And.... MY RIGHT EYE'S DEGREE (JTH will say: the degree of my right eye. but whatever.) INCREASED.
:D Yeah, normally that'd be bad, but now my left eye and my right eye are of the same degree, so I don't have to worry about mixing my contact lenses up anymore!
Not that I do usually, I hope.

So, I wasn't really paying attention during service today cause I suddenly got it into my head that it was September.
(I always get confused between August and September.
I got worried cause I couldn't remember celebrating Ariela's birthday, or even wishing her a happy birthday.
And I was all oh crap, I'm such a lousy friend before I realised that wait, it can't be September cause we haven't celebrated Teachers' Day yet!

Then I suddenly thought of you cause I've been seeing you (busy) online recently, which is weird.
I thought you'd have deleted me from your contacts by now.
It's going to be your birthday too in slightly over a month.
I feel like talking to you, but what if you ignore me?
Have to work up my nerves first.

Can't wait for Wednesday, to launch a volleyball at someone :D

11 August 2009, Tuesday

And today was just turning out to be a good day :/

Schumacher's not filling in for Massa D: D: D:
Neh, some people are happy, but I'm not one of them.
I sincerely hope that by some wonderful miracle, Massa will recover enough to be able to race in Singapore.
Only one and a half months away now.
Wait. Is that during our prelims? After, right? Phew.

Should go? :D
I like watching it on tv though.

So, no results today after all.

Yay, Wednesday tomorrow.
Easiest day of the week.
I like Wednesday mornings, plus tomorrow's common test is the easiest of the week.

Have to complain to someone tomorrow.

Monday, August 10, 2009
6:34 PM
10 August 2009, Monday

Eeps, apparently we're getting back our Chinese Os results tomorrow o.O
Okay, don't think about it.

I had a lovely day :D
Went to Jaclyn's house with Joan to study SS & Chem, and to bake for Sherri's birthday.
We didn't study that much, but I'm okay with that cause if it were up to me and I were alone at home, I'd probably just spend the whole day in front of the laptop and not study at all.

Took a bus down to The Rail Mall to eat lunch at Subway (I ate Subway yesterday too!), then went to Cold Storage to get the baking stuff.
It was freezing, man.
Made brownies (a brownie?) and cookies.
Big honking ass ones. I didn't think they would turn out that big.
Ahhhh, I want an oven so bad ):

Feel really full now.
I have four Subway cookies (two left from yesterday, and another two from today's lunch), four cookies we made, two pieces of brownie, and guess what I made yesterday too?
:D
I haven't checked them since I put them in the fridge last night, but if they look okay I'll bring some to school tomorrow.
But I don't think they're good though, cause I know I didn't use enough cheese and when I was trying to roll them into balls, most of them fell apart in my hands.
We'll see :D

Happy National Day!
Red and white, go Singapore! <3

I watched the parade just now.
They had to march in SINGING, hahaha!
But I'd rather do that than march in carrying umbrella though, which was what we had to do.
I always felt terrified when we had to open our umbrellas, cause I was afraid I'd knock someone's beret off, or someone would knock mine off.
And this year they even got to march by the audience.

So, did anyone watch Singapore Idol?
I did -gives embarrassed face-
But not intentionally.
I was sitting at the dining table doing my thing, and my mom was watching it, so I could hear what was going on.
Honestly, some people.
They must know they can't sing, right?
And all the sob stories. (Or those that try to be.)

At least it was funny.

8 August 2009, Saturday

Ha, guess what I did this morning?
Woke up around 10, then I went out to watch tv cause my maid was going to clean (sweep & mop) the rooms.
Channel-surfed to Octo, and guess what was on?
Pokemon! :D
It was something about Ash meeting a guy with a Raichu, they had a fight and Pikachu lost, and yada yada, they don't use the Thunderstone to evolve Pikachu, but train harder to defeat the guy.
Watching Pokemon always makes me feel like playing Yellow version again, cause of the Pikachu following behind Ash.
But I don't have Yellow version, I only have Leaf Green and when I do play it, I'm catching stupid Unknowns.
And trying to make my Chansey happy enough so I can evolve it into a level 6 Blissey ^_^

I opened the towel thing the school gave us yesterday, cause I was very fasinated by how they managed to fit it as a small round package.
I've found a use for it :D
To drape over my laptop when it's not in use, so it won't get dusty.
The size fits nicely.

Oh, and is anyone going to be doing that pledge thing at 8.22pm tomorrow?
It'd be kinda weird actually...
I'd probably be at home, using the laptop or something at that time.
Come to think of it, I can't recite the pledge by myself.
We, the citzens of Singapore
Pledge ourselves as one united people
Regardless of race, language or religion
Now what's the line after that?

This is strange.
I DO know the pledge, okay.
I say it just fine in school.
But in school, there's some kind of rhythm to it, you know?
But try saying it out loud by yourself, it sounds weird!
I sound weird to myself.

Some Singapore Poly brochure (or whatever you call it) came in the mail for me today.
There's some comic thing, so I read it.
They misspelled David Archuleta's name as Archuletta. Twice.
And I wish all the polys would stop harping on the whole we-do-have-people-who-score-six-points-and-go-to-poly thing.
WE GET IT.

6 August 2009, Thursday

Just checked the timings for tomorrow, we can go for the 2pm one if that's okay, or if Jaclyn finishes earlier, we can rush and catch the 11.30 show.

I hate this topic of geometrical proofs we're doing now >:(
I try to stare at the question and draw in some angles, then I just give up and wait for Mdm Yeo to write the solution on the board.
She said a question would be worth about 8 marks, right?
That's about ten percent of the paper.
Shall just skip it first when I come to it during Os.

Started a new movie today, even though we started a new one already yesterday.
I was very annoyed cause I only glimpsed through the wiki page cause I didn't want to spoil it for myself.
Anyway, getting back Chinese Os results next week! D:
I hope we did well enough to make Miss Koh happy.

Guess how much my bus fare was today?
Five bucks. Yup, not kidding.

After school the clique went to Macs cause they were talking about it in the day, but I didn't feel like going cause I wanted to go home and do my Math, my SS, and maybe get started on the Geog homework.
So when the double decker 174 came, I happily boarded it, completely forgetting that I needed to top up my card.
I scan my card, and the reader makes the embarrasing BEEP BEEP BEEP noise, and I think, Oh right, damn!
I dig in my wallet hoping to find some coins, but I already know I don't have enough.
35 cents. That was what I had.
So I check my notes instead, and guess what!
Of course I don't even have a two dollar note.
I had forty bucks in my wallet, but no two dollar notes at all.

Reluctantly I take my five bucks and drop it into the thingy.
It was a plastic note, which made it all the more worse.
I have this thing about plastic notes.
They just feel so nice and new and I always try to keep them for the last.
Then I stomped away (okay, no I didn't) and found a seat.

What I should have done was, just ask someone on the bus for 20 cents.
But no St Marg's girl had boarded the bus with me, and I didn't want to ask a total stranger.
Or I could have just told the bus driver, he probably wouldn't throw me off the bus, would he?
I wanted to get off the bus actually, and just go to Macs, but the bus had already moved off.

When the bus approaches the traffic light that we cross when we go to Macs, I was just thinking that it would be funny if I saw you all walking.
And really, who do I see at the traffic light?
Bokteng! She was peering weirdly into the bus, then she excitedly calls Huilin, Zengxi, and Ariela over, and we wave to each other like mad people; they at the traffic light, me on the bus.
It was a very unreal moment.

Then the bus moved on, I couldn't see them anymore, and I started to cry, all the way until Sixth Avenue.
I didn't care who saw me, the bus was pretty empty anyway.
I didn't want to get off at my stop cause I paid five bucks for the ride.
Going all the way to Jurong and back wouldn't even be enough.
):

Anyways, I got back home, tried to do Math, but I had a headache.
So I gave up and went to nap (on my brother's bed), and woke up at 9.
Wandered outside, expecting to see my parents, but they weren't home yet o.O
Turns out my brother called and told them that he was going to be released from camp, so they were on their way to pick him, then he called again and said that maybe he wasn't after all, but they were halfway there already, so they went to some mall and walked around while waiting for him to call back and confirm.

I've been addicted to baking blogs recently, and some others.
They're all I want to read.

3 August 2009, Monday

The good news is, I've started on my essay.
The bad news is, I'm not done with it.
Will probably rush through it before going to sleep, or complete it in between lessons tomorrow :/

I took a nice teeny five minute nap between Geog and Chem today.
The best part of a lesson is when the teacher leaves and you can FINALLY put your head down for a couple of minutes.
The bad part is when the next teacher arrives and you have to get up, with a red forehead and having to adjust your eyes to the brightness again.

I hate it that we're back to having assembly in the parade ground.
1. Ants.
2. Bees.
3. Shorter time spent in classroom.
4. I don't like sitting on the ground.
5. The horror of having to greet every morning.

Okay, four more days till Friday.
I live for the weekends.
